Conversion formats and credits
Conversions are temporary jobs with source-size, concurrency, retention, and monthly credit limits. Saving a result moves it into the normal upload and scanning workflow.

How credits are calculated
A credit measures processing work, not input bytes. Each job costs at least one credit. The worker rounds processing time up to a whole second, then multiplies it by the format-group weight.
Image resize or format conversion1 credit per processing second
PDF, documents, spreadsheets, and archives3 credits per processing second
Presentations and audio4 credits per processing second
Video12 credits per processing second
Ebooks5 credits per processing second
These weights are exact. A file's final cost depends on its measured processing time, so SteadyLink does not publish a fixed cost per file.
Temporary retention
Guest results expire after one hour. Free and Personal results expire after 24 hours, Pro after 48 hours, Business after 72 hours, and Enterprise after seven days. Saving a result is deliberate and consumes workspace storage.
