Host your game downloads behind one link that never breaks.

Upload your PC build, APK or installer, post the link on itch.io, Patreon or Discord, and ship every patch behind it. Players always get the latest version.

Ship a patch in one upload

The link you post at launch is the link players use for every update after it.
  1. Upload the build

Drop in the .zip, .exe, .apk or .7z, up to 4 GB. Every upload is virus scanned.

    mygame-pc-v1.0.0.zip
  2. Post the link once

Put it on your itch.io page, Patreon post, Discord or website. That link is the download from now on.

  3. Replace it on patch day

Upload the new build over the old one. Players clicking the old post get the new version, and the old build stays in the history.

Why devs move off Drive and MEGA

File lockers are built for sharing a file once. A game ships again and again.

Everything a release needs

  • Roll back a bad patch

Every build you replace stays in the version history. Restore the last good one in a click and the link serves it again.

  • Scanned on upload

Every build is virus scanned. On paid plans the scan runs in the background, so a patch goes live the moment it finishes uploading.

  • See who downloads

Downloads by day, country and source, so you know whether the Discord post or the itch.io page brought players in.

  • Your own download domain

Serve builds from dl.yourstudio.com on the Personal plan and up, so the link looks like part of your game.

  • Private links for testers

Give beta testers or patrons a password or a link that expires, and keep the public link on the stable build.

  • Launch on schedule

Queue the release build and have it swap in at a set time on the Pro plan, even while you sleep.

Pick a plan by build size

Plans are set by the size of your largest build and how much your players download each month.

Questions from game devs

Where should I host my game downloads?

Anywhere that gives you a direct link you can keep. SteadyLink gives each build one permanent download link, so you can post it on itch.io, Patreon, Discord or your site once and ship every update behind it.

Can I update my game without changing the download link?

Yes. Upload the new build over the old one and the same link serves it right away. The previous build stays in the version history, so you can roll back if a patch goes wrong.

Can I host an Android APK or a Windows installer?

Yes. Any file type works, including .apk, .exe, .msi, .zip, .7z and .dmg. Keep one link per platform, for example one for the PC build and one for the Android APK.

How big can my game build be?

Up to 100 MB on the free plan, 1 GB on Personal, 2 GB on Pro and 4 GB on Business. On paid plans a new build goes live the moment it uploads while the virus scan runs in the background.

Why not just use Google Drive or MEGA?

They are built for sharing a file once. Popular Drive files hit a download quota and large ones show a virus scan warning first, and MEGA limits how much free users can download. SteadyLink links go straight to the file and show you where downloads come from.

Is it free to start?

Yes. The free plan includes 10 GB of storage and 50 GB of downloads a month with no card. Upgrade when your builds or your player count outgrow it.

Post one link. Ship every patch.
