A broadly supported image format commonly used for short, simple animation.

GIF to BMP
What changes in the file, and what to check before you share the result.
GIF can hold transparent areas, but BMP cannot. Transparent pixels are filled with a solid background, so logos and cut-outs will sit on a box. Keep the GIF if you need the transparency.
An animated GIF contains several frames. BMP holds a single image, so the result is a still picture rather than an animation.
BMP is usually stored without compression, so the result is much larger than the source. Use it when a program specifically asks for BMP.
Open the converter settings to set an output width and quality for every BMP in the batch. Leave the width empty to keep the original dimensions.
GIF files use a limited palette of up to 256 colors and may be animated.
Short answers about limits, privacy, and keeping the converted file.
