What to expect from MOBI to TXT
What changes in the file, and what to check before you share the result.
Why TXT
TXT keeps only the words, which is handy for search, scripts, or reading in any text editor.
DRM-free books only
Books bought from stores often include DRM, which prevents conversion. Only DRM-free files convert correctly.
Starting from MOBI
MOBI is an older Kindle format, so complex formatting may already be simplified.
MOBI to TXT questions
Short answers about limits, privacy, and keeping the converted file.
Why won't my MOBI convert?
If the book came from a store, it probably has DRM, which blocks conversion. DRM-free ebooks convert normally.
Is the MOBI to TXT converter free?
Yes. Without an account you can convert up to 10 files a day, 2 at a time, up to 25 MB each. A free account adds monthly conversion credits and larger files.
How long are my files kept?
Guest uploads and results are deleted automatically after 1 hour. Conversions stay temporary when you are signed in too, unless you save a result to your workspace.
Can I get a permanent link to the TXT file?
Yes. Save the result to a SteadyLink workspace and it gets a stable link. If you make a new version later, replace the file and the link stays the same.
