What to expect from RTF to PDF
What changes in the file, and what to check before you share the result.
A fixed layout for sharing
PDF locks the layout, so the document looks the same on every device and prints predictably. It is meant for reading rather than editing, so keep the RTF as your editable source.
Starting from RTF
RTF holds basic formatting only, so results are simple and predictable.
RTF to PDF questions
Short answers about limits, privacy, and keeping the converted file.
Can I edit the PDF afterwards?
PDFs are made for reading and printing. Make changes in the original RTF and convert again, or convert the PDF to DOCX if the original is gone.
Is the RTF to PDF converter free?
Yes. Without an account you can convert up to 10 files a day, 2 at a time, up to 25 MB each. A free account adds monthly conversion credits and larger files.
How long are my files kept?
Guest uploads and results are deleted automatically after 1 hour. Conversions stay temporary when you are signed in too, unless you save a result to your workspace.
Can I get a permanent link to the PDF file?
Yes. Save the result to a SteadyLink workspace and it gets a stable link. If you make a new version later, replace the file and the link stays the same.
