PDF locks the layout, so the document looks the same on every device and prints predictably. It is meant for reading rather than editing, so keep the TXT as your editable source.
Starting from plain text
TXT has no formatting, so the PDF uses default fonts and styles. Line breaks carry over; headings and tables need to be added afterwards.

Can I edit the PDF afterwards?
PDFs are made for reading and printing. Make changes in the original TXT and convert again, or convert the PDF to DOCX if the original is gone.
Is the TXT to PDF converter free?
Yes. Without an account you can convert up to 10 files a day, 2 at a time, up to 25 MB each. A free account adds monthly conversion credits and larger files.
How long are my files kept?
Guest uploads and results are deleted automatically after 1 hour. Conversions stay temporary when you are signed in too, unless you save a result to your workspace.
Can I get a permanent link to the PDF file?
Yes. Save the result to a SteadyLink workspace and it gets a stable link. If you make a new version later, replace the file and the link stays the same.
